4D Programming Cable USB to UART

4D Systems' Programming Cable is a USB to Serial-TTL UART converter cable designed to program both Firmware/PmmCs and user application code into 4D's modules. As with the uUSB-MB5 module, the 4D Programming Cable utilises the Silabs CP2102 USB to Serial UART bridge IC. This handles the USB signalling and protocols.
The CP2102 chip and special RESET circuitry are on a compact circuit board, within the USB connector, at the end of the cable.
The Programming Cable enables the user to connect all 4D devices which require TTL level serial interface to USB. The cable offers a simple USB to Serial interface and is therefore ideal for applications such as; an interface microcontroller UART to USB, a serial interface for barcode readers and USB to RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 converters.
